B.SC. nursing

The B.Sc. nursing degree program is a four- year fulltime programme comprising
eight semesters, which prepare B.Sc. nursing graduates qualified to practice nursing and midwifery in a variety of setting in either public/government or private
healthcare setting.

The courses are split into four distinct sections that start off with preparation and development, classroom learning, simulation learning, clinical learning and field
learning. Students will be given real time training in nursing through community health nursing programs, rural health programs and clinical in areas such as Medical Surgical Nursing, Child Health Nursing, Maternity Nursing, Community Health Nursing, Psychiatric Nursing, Nutrition, Hygiene, Basic Medical Sciences, etc.

ADMISSION PROCESS

Admission to the B.Sc Nursing programme is conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Government of Goa. Selection is based on the candidate’s performance in Physics, Chemistry, Biology (PCB) at HSSC/12th standard and NEET-UG scores, as per the prevailing norms of DTE and Indian Nursing Council.

Candidates must apply through the official DTE Goa admission portal within the notified dates and follow all instructions issued by DTE regarding registration               ( i.e form filling), document verification,and seat allotment.

IMPORTANT NOTE

Admission will be granted only to candidates who meet the eligibility criteria prescribed by DTE, Goa and INC. The merit list and counseling schedule will be published on the DTE website.
