Antiragging

INTRODUCTION

Ragging refers to the act of subjecting new students to various forms of harassment, humiliation, or intimidation by their seniors in educational institutions. It can take many forms, including verbal abuse, physical assault, forced tasks, and psychological torment. An anti-ragging committee is typically established in educational institutions to prevent and address incidents of ragging, which involves any form of physical or mental harassment of new students by their seniors.

AIMS

To ensure that the campus is free of ragging

To create a safe and welcoming environment for all students

To foster a culture of mutual respect, dignity, and understanding among students

OBJECTIVES

  1. To create awareness regarding ragging and its impact on an individual.
  2. To ensure that students are aware of various forms of ragging.
  3. To create awareness regarding the anti-ragging policies and disciplinary actions that could be taken.
  4. To have complete compliance with the anti-ragging regulations

ACTIVITY

  1. Anti-ragging committee is made and contact numbers of committee members are displayed on all notice boards.
  2. Anti-ragging prevention posters displayed in main areas within the campus
  3. The college has officially registered in the National Anti-Ragging Programme Monitoring Agency Centre for Youth (CY) and each student received a registration ID.
  4. An undertaking was taken from each student and parent to prevent ragging activities within and outside the campus.
  5. Every month anti ragging meeting is conducted by anti-ragging committee members and students
  6. Anti-ragging Flying squad members are taking rounds at frequent intervals to check with ragging activities.
